On 12th March 2016 our first Information and Charity Evening took place in the protestant church of Stuttgart-Botnang. The organizing team and our 30 guests all agreed: it had been a successful evening.
The opera singers Catriona Smith and Diana Haller accompanied by Alan Hamilton on the piano (all from Staatsoper Stuttgart) and the amateur choir „StimmBänd“ from Filderstadt performed music pieces from different epochs. During the intervals our association members presented information about Ghana, our school project and our new sponsorship programme. At the end of the evening a spontaneous encore was performed by all artists together and obtained huge applause.
Saturday the 12th March 2016 all friends and followers of our association are invited to an information and charity night. The event takes place in the community centre of the protestant church of Stuttgart-Botnang, Fleckenwaldweg 3, 70195 Stuttgart and start at 7 PM.
We will present our first projects in Ghana while you can have a snack or a drink or discuss further ideas for our future work.
There will also be musical entertainment by chamber singer Catriona Smith and Diana Haller of the Staatsoper Stuttgart.
The protestant church of Stuttgart-Botnang organized their traditional autumn fair on November 13 and 14, 2015. Every year, half of the revenue is donated to charitable organizations.
Our association representatives Gabriele and Paul had the chance to present our school project and the CDV association was selected as one of three donation recipients. We are grateful for the contribution of 3,000 €, which we received just before Christmas.
Every Christmas the Thieme publishing group chooses several initiatives from the health sector or from the Stuttgart area to support them with a donation. This year – among others – our association was selected.
Thieme supports the building of a school in Tsikudokope with 2.500,-€.
Thanks to that, and all donations collected so far included, the grounding of the school is now funded. Together with our local partners in Ghana we now concentrate on getting the works started in the beginning of 2016. Find out more soon.
Paul who is one of the two leaders of our association travelled to Ghana last month to bring back plenty of good information about our project, some photos and new ideas.
The most important information is that a partner association has been founded in Ghana to support us locally with our project of building a school in Tsikudokope.
We currently structure and sort all the new information to bring it to you on this website during the next weeks. Stay tuned!
